About Karen.
Karen studied Fine Art at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, graduating with a first-class honours degree 1984.
After graduating, Karen traveled Africa and Asia, living in countries including Cameroon, Vietnam, Thailand, Kenya and Kiribati, a small island in the the Pacific Ocean. Now residing in Bristol, Karen works from her studio which is situated on Jamaica Street. She works mainly in oils on canvas, drawing inspiration from her sketching trips, gathering her material from nature.
